Coal Country Animal Rescue
We are based in a small rural community servicing Mercer County, ND and surrounding areas.
About Us
*We are 100% volunteer operated
*We are 100% foster home based
*We DO NOT have any paid employees
*We work out of our own individual homes
*We DO NOT have a shelter building to visit, drop off, or house animals
*We all have families, jobs, and responsibilies outside of the rescue.
*We try to answer emails/texts/messages as fast as possible. Email is the best way to contact us.
*We try to process applications as fast as possible, but this all happens during our volunteers spare time, on lunch breaks, evenings, and weekends. Please be patient.
*We are a 501c3, non-profit organization
*We are a state sanctioned rescue that depends on donations and grants.
*We have rules, regulations, policies, and procedures that have to be followed or we could lose our status and/or funding. This is non-negotiable. NO-EXCEPTIONS.
*We do have requirements to adopt-We do background checks, reference checks, vetting history checks, public searches, and home visits.
*We have requirements to adopt that are geared toward the animal(s) individual needs. It is a per animal/per situation set of requirements. We strive to do the best we can for each animal and their specific needs.
*The safety, happiness, and well-being of our animals is and will always be our #1 priority.
